The period from January until the end of March was used to plan the project; meetings with the architect José Resina from Arquiforma, the technical engineer Koldo from L.A Wangeneberg, the builder Mario Lorenzo from Canary Alfaz and our project supervisor, Merete Ihlen Marandi from Boreal Costa Blanca.

In the middle of March Arild and I signed the deed at the Notarius office in Benidorm, and we formally took over the plots and the villa.

Our goal is to make a modern villa; nice and warm during winter, nice and cool during summer, easy to maintain, to keep tidy and rational to use both inside and outside. No large garden, but a tiled patio with some nice flowers in smaller parts.

We also wanted 4 bedrooms with one grand master bedroom. The plot size of 808 m2 limits the size of the villa. We decided to extend the villa with a roof terrace and and a large master bedroom with a walk in closet and a master bathroom ensuite. From here there is a terrific view to the sea and the majestetic Sierra Bernia, the Calpe Cliff, and to Sierra Helada, the mountains between Albir and Benidorm.

The pool is placed in front of the villa, with sun from early morning to late evening. The patio will be lifted up two stairs to make an easy access into the villa.  The roof over the old covered terrace is changed to a pergola.

The kitchen and livingroom will be an open space, but we haven´t decided how to make the kitchen. Shall it be a U, with an island or an L? Right now we are discussing different solutions with Cocina Diseno in Alfaz. At the south west facade we prepare for an outdoor kitchen.

In the beginning of April CanaryAlfaz started to prepare for the work outside and building the pool.
